I have a monster head cold.  Where and how did I get it?  I am ever so careful whilst out in public not to touch my face at all until I’ve washed up.  How did I manage then to get a cold?  However I got it, it’s a doozy, as they say.  Haven’t had one like this for many years. (over 5 years I expect.)  Over the past 3 days I’ve carried my box of tissues with me wherever I went.  I’ve eaten about a gallon of Chinese Chicken and Rice soup.  I’ve drunk liters of tea, soda, coffee, etc.  Today at least, I am not constantly blowing my schnoz.  That’s something I suppose.  The brain is still a bit fuzzy though, and I’m more dizzy than normal.  At night I take the medicine that tastes like “green death.” (to quote Dennis Leary)  It helps me sleep and breathe.  It’s good I don’t have to drive any further than work (2 miles) or I could be seen as a menace on the roadways.  Tomorrow is another day.  Perhaps I will be able to breathe freely without sniffing loudly and grossly.  I, and those around me, are looking forward to that!
